Cozy & Clean Cabins Great Porch Views Some Maintenance Issues Quiet & Peaceful Responsive Management

“Great place for our family! We enjoyed the campfire and hot tub. The hammock swings were a big hit too! We spent hours sitting on the porch enjoying the great weather. This would be a great property rain or shine because of the covered porches. It also had plenty of outdoor seating (10 chairs) around the campfire. We explored the property — hiking several miles. What a beautiful 50 acres … it even has a creek. Wish it had more utensils (and measuring spoons) for our family of 7. And little things like salt and pepper would be nice to have in hand.”

“Beautiful cabin. Clean and had everything you needed. Loved the loft. Loved the front porch swing and rocking chairs. Was perfect for relaxing and reading a book. Would stay again.”

“Hemlocks Over Muir is the MOST beautiful place I’ve stayed. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary with our dog, and it was incredible. We literally only left the cabin to grab dinner and go zip lining. The fact you can just walk out your front door and play disc golf or go on a hike made this trip so relaxing. This will be our go-to cabin from now on. We will bring our kiddos next time. The pictures of the view out back don’t this place justice. You won’t want to leave the porch or the grotto. Be sure to use the coordinates to find the cabin and not the address. The management company was very responsive with any questions I had and have great recommendations for things. See you again VERY soon H.O.M!!”

“The cabin is nice. However It does have some issues. The deck on the back of the cabin had rotted boards and the deck is pretty high so those need repairs very quickly. The cabin had an odor, and was musty smelling. I sent pictures to the management office, as part of my checkout. I would recommend the cabin for staying in the area. The cabin should be deep cleaned and the furniture replaced. All in all we enjoyed our stay.”

“Cabin was prefect for my boyfriend and I! It was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do and see. Food is located close as well. The cabin did have a smell of cat pee or something that sprayed outside.”

“We had a very pleasant weekend stay at the 50 Shades of Slade . From the road it doesn’t look like much however once inside we were pleasantly surprised as it exceeded our expectations. Newly renovated and tastefully furnished 2 bedroom home including the lovely decor touch. Not a scratch or a tear to be found. Newer appliances , super clean interior, comfortable beds, ceiling fans throughout, functioning AC, 3 large TVs. Large back yard with partial fencing for privacy provided ample jumping room for our pup. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, even a cork bottle opener. (No salt shaker). Despite the fact that it’s located along the main road, the vehicular noise was very minimal. Ideal location near Res River Gorge park trails, mini golf, restaurants, ice cream shops, gas stations. Communication and access to the property was seamless . We were 2 adults, a toddler and a dog. I would definitely recommend 50 Shades of Slade and look forward to returning in the near future.”

“Perfect setting, and nicely decorated. Very clean cabin. Only complaint would be extremely low water pressure in the bathroom. Other than that, it was amazing. We would definitely go back!”
